Non-traditional application in dhow. Non-traditional application techniques as a means of developing preschoolers. Chapter II. Entertaining applique classes from non-traditional materials as a means of developing the creativity of preschool children

Translated from Latin, the word "application" means "applying". To make a picture using this technique, you need to cut out different shapes from the same material and attach them to the base, which is the background. For work, you can use paper, cloth, cereal and many other improvised means. Let us examine in more detail what types of applications are and what are the features of their creation.

Gluing flowers together in this way is called floristry. To make a beautiful bud, it is enough to collect some dried leaves, fruits, straw, poplar fluff. Also useful different types shells, cones, seeds, seeds, grass and more. Whatever material you choose, you will need to take into account the features of its texture during work. It should adhere well to the base and harmoniously fit into the composition of the work.

standard classification

There are many types of this handmade, among which there are three main ones:

Decorative applique (created on the principle of combining various elements of decoration with each other);

Subject (pictures made in this technique consist of independent images - birds, trees, butterflies, etc.);

Plot (depicts a certain action or event - a snowfall, a family walk, a dog playing with a ball).

This is the standard classification of this needlework. In addition to the items listed above, there are many other types of such crafts. Non-traditional application can be performed using the following techniques.

Ribbons and fabric

Tape. Using this method, it is really possible to create not one or two identical figures, but any number of them. They can be tied together in a long garland or separated from each other. To make such a craft, you need a large sheet of paper. Fold it like an accordion, draw the outline of the future part on the top layer and cut it out, capturing all levels of the material.

tissue. This application belongs to the varieties of embroidery. The process of working on it consists in attaching elements of a similar material on a fabric basis. Fixing parts is done by sewing or gluing. Knitted appliqués are made on the same base material. To create such a craft, you must have some skills and dexterity. In particular, you need to be able to carefully cut out the details (the fact is that it is more difficult to work with fabric than with paper). You also need to take into account that the edges of the parts can delaminate and crumble, which complicates the creative process.

We use napkins

Napkin. This decorative appliqué can interest even the smallest children. Working with this material will not only bring a lot of pleasure, but will also contribute to the development of the child. The figurines do not need to be cut with scissors, so the baby will not be able to be injured.

Types of applique using such material perfectly develop hands and tactile perception (it is especially useful for this to use materials with different textures). And, of course, your child will develop fantasy and translate ideas into reality.

Looking for materials in the kitchen

From cereals. Many types of applications involve the use of non-standard materials. These include, for example, cereals and pasta. Working on a craft is extremely useful for a child's fine motor skills. After all, while sorting through small particles, he develops his fingers and learns to make pinching movements.

In addition, if the baby is already more than one year old, it is very important for him to see the visual result of his labors. Because children really like to collect pictures from cereals. The most versatile materials for this type of creativity are semolina, rice and millet. They can be painted with gouache to make the details more vivid and attractive. Unusual compositions will also give pasta in the form of spirals, bows, shells.

Turning to nature for help

Decorative appliqué made from straw. Such crafts look very stylish: the rays of the sun play in their lines, cast in gold. The fact is that the surface of this material is glossy and perfectly even, thanks to the longitudinal fibers of which it consists. These microscopic strips are able to reflect light to the maximum when placed in correct position in relation to the sun.

Compose the shapes of your composition from parts that lie at different angles relative to the light source. In this case, you can ensure that each element will shine and shimmer beautifully. In this technique, you can make whole pictures, as well as decorate bookmarks, various boxes and frames.

From the herbarium. Dried flowers, grass, and leaves are a very popular craft material. These parts are easily accessible for schoolchildren and small children. Application schemes are very simple to implement and do not require much work. But, before proceeding directly to the process of creating crafts, you need to take a walk and collect necessary materials. This is not only an interesting and exciting activity, it also instills love in children. In addition, such walks are very useful, because they take place in the fresh air.

Create from scraps

Another interesting view creativity - broken application. It is created on the principle of laying out a mosaic. Cardboard is best suited as a basis, and sheets of colored paper of different shades will become the material for work. They need to be broken into many small pieces, from which the picture will be formed.

You can attach the resulting “puzzles” with glue or the second option is ideal for small and creative preschoolers. Children may not even tear off pieces of paper in advance. Let the child attach the desired part of the sheet to the tape and press it with the blunt part of the pencil. In this way, the entire surface of the future picture is filled and its color scheme is formed.

The breakaway application exists not only in its classic form, described above. It evolved, thanks to which such an offshoot of it as handigyrim appeared. When working in this technique, the Koreans created a special paper - handi, it is made by hand. And when it comes time to use this material, its pieces are moistened and torn off along the outlines from the sheet. Working with Handi, you can create paintings that look like they were painted in watercolor or oil.

Create 3D

For example, a house can be made from a square that will go to the wall, a triangle to the roof, and rectangles to the windows and the door. To create a flower, butterfly or caterpillar, you need circles. Any animal can be folded from ovals of different sizes. A simple and cute application card created using this technique can be a wonderful gift from a child for one of the parents or friends for any occasion.

Application in Latin means application. This is one of the types of visual activity. This activity helps the development and formation of visual perceptions, imagination, spatial representations, memory. Such personality traits as perseverance, purposefulness, accuracy, diligence are formed. A number of graphic and pictorial skills and abilities are mastered. The ability to analyze objects and phenomena of the surrounding world is formed. Iso activity is important for the development of fine motor skills of the fingers, their muscles, and coordination of movements.

Visual activity is of great importance for solving problems: Mental education. The stock of knowledge about the objects of the surrounding world, quantities, the variety of shades of colors is expanding, mental operations, comparison, and generalization are being formed. Speech develops, enriches vocabulary, a coherent figurative speech is formed. Such qualities as inquisitiveness, initiative, mental activity, independence are formed. Sensory education. Direct, sensitive acquaintance with objects and phenomena, with their properties and qualities.

moral education. Iso activity (application) brings up moral and volitional qualities: finishing what has been started to the end, focusing and purposefully doing, helping a friend, overcoming difficulties, etc. Labor education. This type of activity combines mental and physical activity, the ability to handle scissors, use a brush and glue, prepare the workplace, all this requires physical strength and labor skills. aesthetic education. The sense of color arises from the perception of beautiful color combinations, the sense of rhythm arises from the rhythmic arrangement of parts of objects. A sense of proportion arises with the constructive integrity of the image; gradually, artistic taste develops in children.

Application can be: Subject, consisting of separate images. It is best when it is a large shaped object. Plot, displaying certain events. Details are not arranged in a row, what is closer looks larger, what is smaller - further. Decorative, including ornaments, patterns. It is characterized by a ribbon and central beam composition.

Kindergarten teachers tend to use the following applique teaching techniques for children: Patterns of various geometric shapes and plant details cut out of colored paper, arranging them in a certain rhythm. Compose an image of an object from colored paper in separate parts to depict the plot. Master various techniques for obtaining details for paper appliqué: cutting, tearing, weaving. Compose an image of an object using the origami technique.

Creating beautiful applications with their own hands, seeing the result of their work, children experience positive emotions. Working with paper and other materials enables children to show patience, stubbornness, imagination and taste. The fuller and more varied children's activities, the more successful the development of the child, the potential opportunities and the first creative manifestations are realized.

Application classes using non-traditional materials are a "pantry" for the development of fantasy, creativity, and imagination. The process of making crafts or plots will not only positively affect the development of aesthetic feelings, replenish the skills and abilities necessary for children, but also develop fine motor skills hands, attention, intellectual and creative activity. Classes in non-traditional application contributes to the development of imagination, visual memory, flexibility and speed of thinking, originality and individuality of each child (Z.A. Bogateeva, M.A. Gusakova, G.G. Grigorieva, T.G. Kazakova, I.V. Novikova, R.M. Chumicheva, etc. ).

Significant moments of the use of non-traditional techniques in the development of applications in younger children preschool age are:

the development of fine motor skills, thanks to a variety of materials that stimulate their examination and, therefore, improve the sensory sphere of children;

creating an interesting image, thanks to various materials that can "suggest" children original stories;

the variety of materials for application, techniques and methods of fastening allows you to intensify creative experimentation (I.A. Lykova);

the simplicity of some techniques makes it easier to get the result.

Technology is considered as a set of objects used in any business, craftsmanship, art (Explanatory Dictionary). Technology is art, craftsmanship, ability, a set of processing methods, changes in state (V.M. Shepel).

Visual techniques are understood as a set of methods, techniques for creating an artistic object by visual means.

The traditional ways to create an appliqué are the use of paper and cardboard, leather is less widely used as a material. Non-traditional techniques in application include the use of various materials (food products - pasta, cereals, salt, sugar); a combination of different materials, for example, dried leaves and threads; "unusual" ways of processing materials.

An analysis of the literature showed (Kazakova R.G., Belobrykina O.A., Kozhokhina S.K., Komarova T.S., Petukhova G.V., Shklyarova M.S.) that the generally accepted definition of the term "non-traditional fine arts" not at the moment. At the same time, characterizing non-traditional visual techniques, the authors highlight a number of their features:

  • a) to create an image, not only commonly used visual materials are used ( colored paper, cardboard), but also a combination of these materials;
  • b) additional materials, substances are used (cotton wool, napkin, shell);
  • c) techniques, tools for creating an image are used.

In the developments of I.V. Novikova, L.V. Bazulina, N.V. Dubrovskaya presents recommendations and classes with children on fine arts using various materials. Great importance in the development of the child is given to the diversity of the material that gives birth in children original ideas, develops imagination and fantasy, causes a desire to come up with new designs and use them in the game. In the classroom, they suggest using the following material: polystyrene foam, shells, beads, fabric, buttons, cones, egg shells, birch bark and much more.

In methodological developments, it is proposed to familiarize children with non-traditional methods of application - application on fabric, from sawdust, from cereals, from bird feathers, from shavings, from beads, from leaves, and much more. Original compositions can be created from reed fluff, poplar, sawdust. They give a relief surface of the image, which clearly stands out on the plane of pile paper or thick cardboard that is bright in color and soft in texture. So, chickens, a furry dog, a bear cub, a long-eared hare, and dandelion flowers are depicted from reed or poplar fluff. The implementation of such peculiar applications begins with a basting based on the contour of the depicted figure. Then its surface is smeared with glue and fluff of tattered reeds is applied on top. The eyes of animals are marked with false beads, buttons, sunflower seeds. In the same way, a panel is created from sawdust or broken eggshells. Along with the natural color of sawdust or shells, dyed material (aniline dyes of different shades) can also be used. Additionally, skillfully dried twigs, leaves, flowers are glued. Children should constantly reveal the possibilities of using certain materials, their diverse combinations. This increases the interest of the children in the process of artistic work and its result.

Thus, a generalized analysis of the studies shows the presence of various technologies for the development of the application: both at the level of activating the idea, and at the technological level (original use of materials). At the same time, various visual techniques are used in all technologies: collage technique- a combination of completely dissimilar materials that harmoniously complement each other, located not only in the plane, but also in volume, and form a compositional unity that expresses an emotional idea artwork (possible topics: Bird-Autumn", "Sky", " winter fairy tale"); technique "break application" ( possible topics: "My favorite snowman", "Bear clumsy"); paper rolling technique(theme: "Lamb", "Lamb"); leaf applique technique themes: "Fish in the aquarium", "Butterflies", "Leaf fall"); thread appliqué technique themes: "Sea waves", "My favorite bunny", "At the bottom of the sea"); eggshell appliqué technique possible themes: "Snowman", "Chicken", "Bear"); pasta appliqué technique themes: "Flowers in the meadow", "Butterfly has arrived", "Rainbow-arc"); cereal appliqué technique ( themes: "Magic flower", "Bear", "Mouse-norushka").

The process of mastering the skills and abilities of preschoolers to work in non-traditional for preschool education artistic techniques is successful under the following pedagogical conditions: the availability of non-traditional artistic techniques offered for mastering by children; the use of various methods and techniques, in younger age these are more often game techniques, with game characters and surprise moments; collective work, organization of exhibitions by children, their subsequent viewing and discussion; the use of rich illustrative material that fully demonstrates the features of each non-traditional technique; creation of an actively influencing subject-spatial environment; the availability of the necessary equipment and materials and the proper organization of the place for them.

Efficiency. A generalized analysis of the use of non-traditional techniques suggests that non-traditional techniques contribute to:

the accumulation of the child's sensory experience (actions with a variety of materials);

enrichment of visual, aesthetic experience;

the development of motor skills of the hand (they do not cause such difficulties as in drawing);

experimenting with different materials;

development of imagination, creativity of the child;

development of interest in appliqué (sticking various materials).

Research analysis, methodological developments, general education program "Childhood" allow us to talk about the compatibility and integrativity of this technology in the pedagogical process and allows us to determine the advantages of developing applications in the process of mastering non-traditional techniques by children of primary preschool age.

  • 1. Non-traditional visual technique - akin to experimenting with materials, on the basis of which children's interest in the application arises and is maintained.
  • 2. Variants of non-traditional visual techniques are designed to integrate the tasks of children's development (aesthetic, cognitive, emotional, sensory)
  • 3. Non-traditional visual techniques, in some cases, do not require developed special technical skills, which facilitates the application process.
  • 4. The use of a variety of non-traditional visual techniques contributes to the adoption of the idea, the creation of an original image, and a deeper mastery of the means of expression.
  • 5. Unconventional Techniques at a younger preschool age, they favorably influence the development of fine motor skills, which is relevant at this stage of development, because this is interconnected with the development of speech and is a sensitive period for children of 3 years.

Diagnostics aimed at determining the features of mastering the elements of non-traditional techniques in applications by children of primary preschool age.

Purpose: to reveal the ideas of children of primary preschool age about the use of non-traditional materials in the application.

Stimulus material: there are various materials on the table: napkins, paper, cotton wool, cereals, cardboard, beans, pasta, a tray, oilcloth, an A4 half, a tray.

Instruction: the teacher works individually with each child. The child is invited to name those objects that are familiar to him. Then the child must answer the questions:

Which of the various materials do you like the most? Why?

Is it possible to use beans, cereals, pasta, cotton wool to create an application?

Will you try to play with this material and stick it on cardboard?

2. "Guess"

Purpose: to reveal the ideas of children of primary preschool age about non-traditional materials used in the application.

Material: lamb samples

Instruction: the child is invited to come to the table on which the pictures lie, turned upside down by the plot. The teacher says: "Let's play one game with you. You see, I have pictures. But they are unusual, but with a secret. I will show you one picture at a time. You will carefully look at them, and then you will tell me what what is depicted there. And you will also tell me what it is made of, what material. If you name everything correctly, then you won." The teacher offers the child a series of pictures "Lamb", made of different materials.

Then the teacher invites the child to answer the question: "Which lamb did you like best? Why? What material do you think it is made of? Would you like to play with it and make a treat for it?"

3. Surveillance

Purpose: to reveal the peculiarities of interest in non-traditional visual materials in children of primary preschool age.

Material: a variety of material is placed in the medium

Instruction: the teacher during the week observes the manifestations of interest in various non-traditional techniques and records the results of the observation.

Diagnostic analysis was carried out according to the following criteria:

acceptance of the task;

its implementation;

independence and interest in activities;

practical actions and comments;

interest;

the nature of the appeal to objects, materials in independent and joint activities;

availability of technical skills;

emotional manifestations.

Based on these criteria, we have developed levels of mastering the elements of non-traditional techniques in applications by children of primary preschool age.

  • 1 level - the child has difficulty accepting the task; a step-by-step explanation of the actions, a "hint" of the method of implementation is necessary; the created images are schematic, non-original (may not accept the possibility of creating an image using non-traditional materials); refuses to complete the task; actions are not commented; not interested in completing the task; does not refer to unfamiliar materials in the work; cannot find application to the proposed subjects; does not show expressive emotions when performing.
  • 2 level - has difficulty accepting a task; creates non-original, schematic images; not independent, often turns to an adult; practical actions are not commented; not interested in doing work, distracted; refers to unfamiliar materials, but does not know how to apply them; finds it difficult to engage in activities in tasks with non-traditional materials; does not show expressive emotions when performing.
  • 3level - accepts the task and is included in the execution of tasks; actively creates images, uses some details for decoration; shows relative independence; accurately answers questions, comments on his work; shows interest in activities; often refers to unfamiliar objects, tries to use them to create an image; with interest is included in the application using non-traditional techniques; shows expressive emotions when performing tasks.
  • 4 level - accepts the idea, is actively involved in the execution of tasks; creates its original images ( interesting images), uses a variety of means of expression; shows activity and independence in activities; actively explains his actions and images; very interested in completing the task; constantly refers to non-traditional materials to create applications; well-formed technical skills and abilities (fastening materials, processing); knows how to use a variety of materials; shows vivid emotions when performing a task.

Application (from Latin application- application) is one of the types of fine arts, based on cutting out and overlaying various forms and fixing them on another material, taken as a background. The application can be made up of paper, fabric, or various natural materials.

Applications of flowers are called "floristry".

To create your compositions, you can use dried leaves, fruits and flowers, straw, poplar fluff, shells, cones, seeds, seeds, herbs, etc. Each material has its own characteristics that must be taken into account.

The application is of three types:

Decorative, unifying various elements decorations;

Subject, consisting of individual images (bird, tree, fungus, house, etc.);

Plot, displaying some action, event (winter landscape, butterfly on the lawn, basket of flowers).

Decorative appliqué

This is the most simple and affordable technique, even kids can handle it. The surface of each material is original and unique: soft leaves, rough cones, smooth stones, fluffy feathers and poplar fluff. Composing decorations, patterns from different materials, the child learns to combine various shapes and colors, to transform forms decoratively according to the laws of rhythm and symmetry.

For decorative applications are characteristic tape and central-beam compositions.

In a tape composition, individual elements are repeated horizontally or vertically. In the central beam composition, the pattern is drawn from the center to the edges, corners or sides of the selected background (it can be a circle, rectangle, rhombus, square, triangle).

Subject application

For subject applications it is best to select material that is represented by a large form. Good use of leaves different plants. For example, it can be large leaves of oak, maple, elm, aspen, chestnut. The shape of these leaves is distinguished by a distinct configuration that needs to be beaten.

Sequence of work: a large sheet is selected and fixed on the main background, and then smaller leaves are placed that transmit characteristics depicted subject. For example, the shape of an oak leaf resembles a bizarre figure of a man. It is enough to add a small elm leaf, and the little man will have a head. If you place a large elm leaf horizontally, then the body of the fish will come out, and its fins can be made from small poplar leaves.

Story application

Here, some rules must be observed.

You should choose natural materials that will be combined with each other in color and texture. Combinations are possible: leaves and herbs, shells and pebbles, light large seeds and cone scales. Pay attention to the combination of the color of the materials and the main background. Color is very important, as it helps to convey the mood of the picture, the season, the nature of the characters in the work.

Emphasis should be placed on the main actors plot. The main characters stand out from the overall picture by their larger size, bright colors, and compositional solution.

The composition is usually built with perspective in mind. Details are not arranged in a row. Anything closer will look bigger, and anything farther away will look smaller. These are the classic rules of drawing and painting, so you need to be an artist at least a little to create this type of appliqué. The selection and appropriate use of the color of materials and its combination with the main background are very important.

Backgrounds for applications

The choice of background is determined natural material, on which it will “sound” especially brightly. White paper, for example, emphasizes plant outline, color, and shape. Colored, gray and beige cardboard can serve as a background for leaves of laurel, silvery poplar, corn, which become a continuation of the color base. Velvet paper has a soft surface on which poplar fluff and feathers are easily fixed. The classic combination is black velvet and straw applications.

Sizoflor (pictured on the left) are pressed fibers of different shades. It can be purchased at flower shops. This material looks especially good if it is fixed with glue on a white or colored background, an amazing effect is obtained.

Lace and white tulle also make a great backdrop. It is recommended to use white wide lace. Tulle can be with a different given pattern, small or large; the main thing is that it is harmoniously combined with natural material. You can fix tulle and lace with glue on a colored or white background.

Birch bark (or birch bark) is an excellent backdrop for plot appliqué compositions. For the base, plywood or thick cardboard is used, on which birch bark is glued. To prepare the background, it takes time, about a day, for the birch bark to finally take hold.

Even dried corn leaves are used as a background. They can be fixed with glue on cardboard as an independent background. At the same time, corn leaves go well with birch bark.

Non-traditional application techniques as a means of developing the creative activity of preschool children

Salova Elena Viktorovna, teacher, MBDOU - Kindergarten No. 7, Yekaterinburg
Description: this consultation about non-traditional application techniques is intended for parents of pupils preschool groups. It will be interesting for educators, teachers additional education and parents.
Target- familiarization of parents with the types of non-traditional applications and its significance in the development of a preschooler.
Tasks:
Learning tasks:
- introduce parents to non-traditional application techniques;
- inform about the role of the application in the development of children.
Development tasks:
- to develop cognitive interest, careful and aesthetic attitude to arts and crafts.
Educational tasks:
- educate sensitivity to the perception of art.

In the history of preschool pedagogy, the problem of creativity has always been one of the most urgent. Psychologists and teachers consider it possible for children to develop creatively in all kinds of activities. A great potential for the development of a child's creative abilities lies in the visual activity of a preschooler, in particular, appliqué classes.
Application is one of the most favorite types of visual activity for children. The specificity of this type of activity gives children the opportunity to more actively acquire knowledge about the color, structure of objects, their size, planar shape and composition. In the application, it is possible to move the cut out shapes, compare, superimposing one shape on another. This allows you to quickly acquire compositional knowledge and skills.
The application contains great opportunities for the development of fantasy, imagination, and creative abilities of children. So, the pattern can be made up of both ready-made geometric and plant shapes carved by the guys themselves. The use of ready-made forms in decorative work allows preschoolers to focus all their attention on the rhythmic alternation of elements in the pattern, the selection of beautiful color combinations.
The skills acquired in applique classes are used by children in other activities, mainly in design, in the manufacture of shadow theater, light decorations, Christmas tree decorations.
At present, preschool teachers educational institutions tend to the traditional technique of teaching children applications, namely paper work. In turn, working with various materials, in various artistic techniques expands the child's capabilities, develops a sense of color, harmony, imagination space, creative thinking, Creative skills.
This is especially important for children of older preschool age, since they have an intensive development of the intellectual, moral-volitional and emotional spheres of the personality. The development of personality and activity is characterized by the emergence of new qualities and needs: knowledge about objects and phenomena that the child has not directly observed is expanding. Children are interested in the connections that exist between objects and phenomena. The penetration of the child into these connections largely determines his development.
But at this age, elements are formed labor activity, the main psychological meaning of which is as follows: the child must understand that he is doing the right thing, useful for others.

By teaching preschoolers various methods of applique from a variety of materials, you can create the basis for a child's creative self-expression. The preschooler himself chooses the plot for the application, the material or combination of materials, uses one or another technique that is suitable for the most expressive image.
Creativity is a very important moment in the development of a child. It is good when a child sees the beauty and diversity of the world around him. But it is even better if he not only notices this beauty, but also creates it. The result obtained is emotionally attractive to the child, since he made this or that little thing himself. After the child begins to create beauty with his own hands, he will certainly begin to treat the world around him with love and care.

There are the following non-traditional application techniques:

Application of cereals and seeds.
Cereals and seeds are excellent material for crafts. It can be easily painted, and thus make the work bright and attractive. Buckwheat, millet, semolina, rice, peas, various seeds are useful for work.
Groats are an affordable, beautiful and safe material for children's creativity. You can start working with cereals at 1.5-2 years. Even at such an early age, children with the help of their parents are able to create very cute applications from cereals. Applications from cereals are also good because neither special materials or tools, nor special conditions or skills are required to create them.

Application from autumn leaves.
Dried leaves are a wonderful material for artistic combination. The various forms of the leaves themselves will tell us what can be created from them. A maple leaf resembles a hedgehog and an octopus, an oak leaf resembles a fish tail, a poplar or birch leaf resembles the head of a fox, bear, dog, cat, etc. So give children the opportunity to pick up, apply, arrange and experiment with leaves.

Eggshell application.
Application made from eggshells is a relatively cheap type of needlework. After all, there is plenty of this material in every home. In work, you can use the shell, both from boiled eggs and from raw ones; the color of the shell also does not matter - white or colored.
Most often, eggshells are used to make mosaics using the crackle technique, when individual pieces of the shell are glued to the surface. When straightened, the shells break into many small pieces, which are held by a thin film located on the inside. Craquelure - cracks form fancy mesh patterns on various materials, but they are almost invisible. It is worth covering the shells with varnish or paint, as the drawing immediately appears, and the usual shell turns into a great material for creativity.
This technique is very ancient, in oriental lacquer painting masters glued eggshells in those fragments of the picture where it was necessary to depict a rock or a stone wall covered with cracks, and with a scattering of small colored shells they exactly imitated the flowering of spring gardens.
Eggshells can decorate a variety of items - vases, plates, bottles, boxes, frames for pictures and photographs. The material is very plastic in work, the most complex patterns and places in the composition are filled in small pieces, and the technique of such a mosaic is not complicated, but the work is very painstaking. You can decorate any surface - from wood and metal to thick paper and glass.

Cotton application.
Cotton appliqués are monochromatic, they resemble grisailles. They are soft, airy and graceful. The topics of the subject application are varied. When choosing topics for applications from cotton wool, one must keep in mind that it is easier to work if there are few details and if they are not small. Animals, birds, plants should be chosen with a fluffy texture: hares, kittens, ducklings, chickens, plush toys, dandelion heads. It is easier to make applications from black and white drawings, contrasting photographs. In the plot application, winter landscapes, birch groves, fish in an aquarium, especially veiltails, succeed. Decorative applications are unusual, original. It can be ornaments, patterns on various forms.
With the help of applications from cotton wool or poplar fluff, you can make fluffy, voluminous animals, snow, depict the fluff of plants, clouds - the scope for imagination is very wide.
From small cotton pellets you can lay out a poodle and a lamb, from thinned and torn pieces of cotton - clouds, from cotton pads you can make chickens and flowers, snowmen.
Remember that cotton wool can be tinted with watercolors or gouache, and then the scope for creativity and imagination will increase several times.

Thread application.
Amazing material - threads! Whatever they do with them: I sew, knit, weave: carpets, tapestries, panels; embroider amazingly beautiful pictures. Products made using the thread appliqué technique look original, the methods of working with it are simple and provide unlimited opportunities for creative self-expression.
The thread application technique is very interesting, fascinating, accessible to people of all ages. Having mastered the elementary techniques of working in this technique, based on the knowledge gained, you can create your own work. Showing creativity in these works, the creative abilities of the individual, characterized by readiness to generate fundamentally new unusual ideas that deviate from traditional or accepted patterns of thought.

Application types:
- subject, consisting of individual images (leaf, branch, tree, bird, flower, animal, person, etc.);
- plot, displaying certain events;
- decorative, including ornaments, patterns that can be used to decorate various objects.

At present, cardinal changes have taken place in the social and economic life of our state, the age of nanotechnologies and informatization has come, society needs proactive individuals who are able to think outside the box, be ready for creative activity, who can create creative products of their activity. From a psychological point of view, preschool childhood is a favorable period for the development of creative abilities, because at this age children are extremely inquisitive, they have a great desire to learn about the world around them. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a sense of beauty, to form high aesthetic tastes, the ability to understand and appreciate works of art, the beauty and richness of native nature.
One of the techniques aimed at creating conditions for the child's creative self-expression is the organization of work with children in visual activity using methods of non-traditional types of application. This attracts with its simplicity, accessibility, reveals the possibility of using well-known objects as art materials.
Non-traditional application plays an important role in the overall mental development child, develops fantasy, imagination, fine motor skills of hands.
Having studied the possibilities of non-traditional application technique, I came to the conclusion that this is a way to create a new, original work of art in which everything is in harmony: color, line, and plot. This is a great opportunity for children to think, try, search, experiment, and most importantly, express themselves.
